Alvin Quah is a Medical manager, host, and Celebrity Chef. He currently serves as the Communications and Patient Relations Manager at AbbVie, a biopharmaceutical company. Quah was a contestant in the second series of the Australian cooking game show MasterChef Australia. In 2022, it was announced that he will appear in the fourteenth season of MasterChef Australia starting April 2022.

Quah was born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He moved to Melbourne, Australia in 1994 to complete his Ph.D. in Science. He attended the University of Melbourne where he earned his Bachelor of Science (BSc), in Biochemistry and Cell Biology in 1997. Quah also holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from the same institution.

In 2003, joined AstraZeneca Australia and worked as a Medical Sales Representative. He later worked as the Hospital Sales Specialist and as a Medical Science Liaison for several years. The Kuala Lumpur native has also served as an Ambassador for Blanco Kitchen Appliances and on campaigns such as ‘Malaysian Kitchen’, Chinese New Year festivities, and at prestigious food events like Good Food Show both in Australia and Internationally.
