Remy Powell is a contestant on Season 9 of MasterChef Junior.
She started cooking at the age of two, taught by her grandmother. Remy is currently writing a cookbook, which focuses on holiday recipes, which she expects to release later in 2024.

Remy Powell is a contestant on season 9 of MasterChef Junior. The Hollywood, Florida native is one of 12 kids competing on the pint-sized cooking series, airing Mondays at eight on FOX. The winner of season nine takes home a $100,000 grand prize.
In the first challenge, the junior chefs are each given an emoji cookie and have one hour to prepare a dish that represents the emotion behind it.
Remy has the “cool emoji,” and since she is from Florida she’s making “The Sunshine State on a Plate.” The 10-year-old says, “Potatoes are my soulmate.” Remy learned to cook from her grandma and says, “I’m not here to play, I’m here to slay.”
