Francesca Kletz is a British artist, interior designer and contestant on series 5 of Interior Design Masters on BBC One. She is the founder of Frances K Design Studio, an innovative design studio specialising in playful, experiential design from textiles to interiors and product design.
Based in East London, Francesca has been obsessed with designing anything from bedrooms to blanket boxes for as long as she can remember. A lifelong love of textiles and talent for handcrafts led her to found London’s first-ever drop-in (award-winning) weaving studio, The London Loom. She was one of the 2019 Mollie Makes Handmade Awards winners. After running the studio for four years, writing a book and facilitating and inspiring thousands of students, Francesca decided to close The London Loom to create her own design studio, Frances K.
Frances K specialises in interior design, textiles design and bespoke soft furnishings. A trained sewist and upholsterer, Frances K offers a complete textiles and colour-driven interior design service.
Francesca is the author of Weave This (Hardie Grant 2017) and is featured in The New Colourful Home (Hoxton Mini Press 2023). She has created and run bespoke textiles workshops for Tate Modern, The V&A Museum, Southbank Centre, Royal Society of Sculptors and Fenton House.
Francesca has appeared in The Times, Time Out London, Absolutely Magazine, Mollie Makes (also winning their 2019 best workshops award), Oh Comely, Let’s Get Crafting magazine, Homemilk, Apartment Therapy and appeared on the cover of the March 2023 edition of Homestyle magazine.

Francesca Kletz is married to her husband Robert Strange, a London-based visual artist and animator. The pair wed during the pandemic in September 2020 at the Hackney Town Hall. Francesca and Robert had originally planned to get married in May 2020, only to be forced to postpone it due to COVID-19.
“My wedding led me to being married to my favourite person,” Francesca said on their first wedding anniversary. “My parents had a terrible acrimonious divorce when I was a child which lasted years and shattered everyone (still does if I’m honest) and so to have this lovely caring, respectful, fun and loving relationship with my Robert Strange is worth more than any big party.”

“I’m one of the designers on the new season of Interior Design Masters,” Francesca announced on Instagram. “I’m so excited for you to see some of what I did on the show. It was one of the best most exhausting, emotional and yet exhilarating experiences of my life. And I’ve had a Batmitzvah so that’s really saying something. The beeb is about to get real Jewish!”
