Miles Platt is a contestant on Season 9 of MasterChef Junior.

He is a fifth-grade student at Pecan Trail Intermediate School. During his time in the show, Platt, from College Station, Texas, tried his best to balance school and the competition since he temporarily moved to Los Angeles.

Platt also formed a strong bond with the contestants amid the thick of the competition.

He is also a patient at Scottish Rite because he was born with a congenital condition called symbrachydactyly, which caused his missing hand. But that has not stopped him from working in the kitchen. He also enjoys climbing, basketball, crocheting, and surfing. He also dreams of one day writing a kid’s cookbook.

The College Station resident is one of the 12 MasterChef Junior contestants that is on its 9th season. In an interview with FOX 8, he stated that his food dream is to write a kids’ cookbook.
