Donna is a ceramicist living and working in Bangor, Northern Ireland. She is the founder of OTO Pottery Studio, creating a range of unique homewares, ceramic art and porcelain jewellery. The Belfast native is a contestant on The Great Pottery Throw Down 2024.

“A passion for colour, pattern and texture is evident throughout all of my pieces and my distinctive designs combine function with fun,” she said. “Never one to blend in with the crowd nor to take life too seriously, I want my pieces to also stand out and try to imbue each of them with a sense of fun.”

“My style is antique/traditional with a punch of contemporary and I aim to make ceramic homeware, art and jewellery with this same approach, that looks good in both your home and on your person.”

“My work continually evolves as I explore new inspiration but you will often see influences from my life by the sea and my love of all things Mediterranean. The range of serving dishes with the classic blue and white colour scheme have remained a constant, showcasing my passion for hand painted decoration and for entertaining friends and family. Food always tastes better when served from a fabulous dish!”
