Lizzie Everard, also known as Betty Silk, is a contestant on The Great British Sewing Bee 2023. She is the creative director of her own graphics company, which makes short films and animations for museums and organisations.
According to the BBC, Lizzie spends her free time looking after an allotment with her partner Mick. She prides herself on trying to grow the “biggest butternuts in Bristol!”
Sewing has always been an important part of Lizzie’s life. She was taught to sew by her mum, both at home and during family caravan holidays in Wales. Lizzie’s mum passed away when she was young, so it has been a way for her to stay connected to her.
