William Alexander is an American singer and a contestant on the 25th season of The Voice broadcast on NBC.
A student at Susan E. Wagner High School in New York, William boasts a rich background in musical theater. His Instagram showcases his roles as Jack in “Into the Woods” and Emmett Foster in “Legally Blonde.”
Additionally, William is an active member of the school chorus and had a standout performance at Carnegie Hall last October. Notably, he was among nine Wagner High School students chosen to perform with the New York Pops in a show titled “21st Century Broadway,” which highlighted young talent.

He performed “Ceilings” by Lizzie McAlpine. Chance started nodding his approval as soon as he heard William singing. He has a nice clear tone. As he hit the chorus, both Chance and Reba turned. The song swelled. So did William’s vocals, but he couldn’t quite entice another coach to turn.
Shay called his tone phenomenal. Dan said his performance kept getting better. Chance says he showed great vocal control and has a unique sound unlike anyone else on Season 25.
Reba called his voice “a beautiful gift.” William decided to join Team Reba.
“Singing that song, I was singing it for my grandfather who passed away last year,” he told the Coaches. “He always said that he believed in me. It’s just crazy being here now!”
