Sam Ashton-Booth Biography – Sam Ashton-Booth Wiki

Sam Ashton-Booth is a development chef for Great British Menu Veteran Tom Aikens, at his Michelin-starred restaurant Muse in Belgravia, London. He is a contestant on the Great British Menu 2024 on BBC Two.

Born in Worcester, Sam has worked in a plethora of Michelin-starred kitchens. When he first started out, he did stages at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay (3) and Marcus Wareing (2). He has also worked at Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester (3) Story (2) and Michael Caines’ Gidleigh Park, where he has honed his skills.

Before working as a senior sous chef at the Ledbury (2*) Sam had his own six-month residency at Counter Culture, in Clapham, where he really began to develop his own cooking style. Sam likes to highlight the vegetable on the plate and allow the protein to help elevate it.

Sam’s creativity stems from his family who are all in creative industries, and he likes to embrace this with his ability to create food that excites people.

Chef Sam Ashton-Booth is a contestant on Series 19 of the Great British Menu, hosted by Andi Oliver. He is one of the four chefs competing for Central England with canapes, starters and fish dishes inspired by the Olympics and Paralympics in the regional heats, alongside Liam Nichols, Adam Smith and Louisa Ellis. The central regional competitors will be battling it out for a place in finals week.

His menu will celebrate the Paralympics opening ceremony.
