Madison Curbelo Biography – Madison Curbelo Wiki

Madison Curbelo is a singer-songwriter and musical artist from Westfield, Massachusetts. She is a contestant on The Voice season 25.

Curbelo attended Westfield schools and graduated from Berkeley School of Music. She said that music has always been an important part of her life and she used singing to overcome a stutter. She now writes music and plays the guitar and the ukulele.

Madison auditioned for Season 20 when she was 18, singing “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” in the season premiere. None of the coaches turned, though coach Nick Jonas told her she “lights up a room.” And Blake Shelton told her to perform as much as possible, then return.

“The most important thing it (the Season 20 audition) taught me is that this is what I am meant to be doing for the rest of my life,” she told her hometown newspaper. “It only made me realize how much I love to sing and perform even more than I already did.”

She released her first two singles, “My Baby Mine” from 2021 and “Old Dog” from 2022. She has also been involved in musical theater and has served as drama club director at her alma mater, Westfield High School. In fact, in the past, she has prepared students there for a performance of “Shrek: The Musical.”

Madison also auditioned for American Idol and earned a golden ticket.

Madison Curbelo The Voice

22-year-old Madison Curbelo is one of the contestants on The Voice season 25.

She performed “Stand By Me” by Ben E. King: She turned in a nice acoustic performance of the song. And singing some lyrics in Spanish since she’s Puerto Rican.

She failed to turn a chair the first time she auditioned for The Voice coaches. This time, her joyful tone turned chair after chair until all four were facing in her direction. Madison says she’s more confident and more secure in her artistry now.

“I am keenly aware that I was one of the people who did not turn for you in Season 20,” said Legend, while fellow Coaches Dan + Shay gave him plenty of funny grief about it from across the way. “I feel like you’re just ready now…. When I turned around, I saw the smile on your face — and I turned around pretty quickly; before any of them! — But I ‘heard’ your smile before I turned around. Because your voice has this brightness to it; this charisma to it!”

Reba McEntire called her performance “beautiful,” while Chance the Rapper described her as “an awesome talent — so exciting and fun” with “a cool energy [that] makes me smile.”

Dan Smyers told Curbelo she’d be a “perfect fit” for Team Dan + Shay, and in the end, Curbelo agreed: With her proud family cheering her on from the sidelines, she picked the Coach duo to mentor her through her Season 25 journey.

She will be competing on the season against Olivia Rubini, L. Rodgers, Val T. Webb, Elyscia Jefferson, Zeya Rae, Ashley Bryant, Kamalei Kawa’a, Asher HaVon, Tae Lewis, AJ Harvey, Kyle Schuesler, Bri Fletcher, Josh Sanders, Mafe, Karen Waldrup, and Serenity Arce.
