Ervinas Merfeldas is a ballroom and Latin dancer and choreographer from Celbridge, Kildare, Ireland. He is an All-Ireland champion Latin dancer. In December 2021, it was announced that Merfeldas would be among the five new professional dancers set to join the 5th series of the Irish version of Dancing with the Stars. Other new pro dancers included Hannah Kelly, Salome Chachua, Denys Samson, and Maurizio Benenato.

Ervinas started dancing at the age of 6. He is trained in ballroom and Latin dancing. He has been dancing competitively for the last ten years. In 2017, Merfeldas and his then-dance partner Gabija Raciute finished in fifth place in the British Dance Federation Junior Latin Championships. He has represented Ireland in several competitions in different countries including China, Russia, Austria, the Netherlands, and Italy.

Ervinas is a professional dancer on Dancing with the Stars. He joined the professional dance team in the fifth series of the Irish DWTS. Merfeldas was announced as a professional dancer on the RTE show in December 2021.

Speaking about joining DWTS, Ervinas said: “I am so excited to be part of the show. Dancing has been a huge part of my life, and to be able to show it off on the main stage, I honestly can’t wait for it”.

He made his DWTS debut in January 2022 partnered with influencer and model Missy Keating. He was paired with former Ireland soccer star Stephanie Roche in 2023.

“She loves the show and the idea that I am a pro on it is just as bizarre to her as it is to me. She likes to throw the word ‘celeb’ around the place every now and then because she sees me on TV. She works in social care so her day to day job is taking care of people and she is very hands on with her work.”
