Denys Samson is a professional ballroom, Latin dancer, and choreographer from Kyiv, Ukraine. He is a former two-time Ukrainian Ten Dance Champion and a two-time World Ten Dance Champion. Samson was also a Blackpool festival European Championship finalist. In 2021, he took part in the Ukrainian version of Dancing with the Stars. In December 2021, it was announced that Samson will be taking part in the 5th series of the Irish version of Dancing with the Stars as a professional dancer.

Samson also revealed the news via his Instagram handle, Samson wrote, “So it’s finally OUT! super excited to be joining @DWTS 🇮🇪 as a new pro dancer for season 5!.” He will be partnering with Erica-Cody, a renowned Irish singer, songwriter, and producer. The show started airing on January 9, 2022, on RTÉ One.
Speaking about joining the Irish show, Samson said, “I’m super excited to be part of Dancing with the Stars here in Ireland. I’m fresh, I’m new and I’ve come all the way from Ukraine to be part of this amazing show, and of course, I would love to win! We are working really hard in training but also having lots of fun, I can’t wait until January to show you what we have in store. I’m really looking forward to this journey with my partner!”
Samson appeared in the Ukrainian version of Dancing with the Stars in 2021, as a professional dancer. He was initially partnered with comedian, Anastasia Orudzhova. His partner later injured her knee and was forced to withdraw from the show following her first performance. After Anastasia Orudzhova withdrew from the show, Samson partnered with comedian, Oleksandra Mashlyatina. The couple was the second to be eliminated from the show.
