Charley Carter is a British painter, decorator and fibrous plasterer, building film sets and shop interiors. He is the husband of BBC One’s Sort Your Life Out expert Dilly Carter.
In March 2020, Dilly paid tribute to her husband on Instagram, writing: “I don’t give this one many shout outs but I am lucky to have a husband who cannot sit still, loves to be busy and is very very good at DIY.
“His years of travelling and working in Australia as a painter/ decorator with his brother in law have set him up for life. His dad however is also the best painter/ decorator we know!
“Although he is now a fibrous plasterer, building film sets and shop interiors, he can pretty much turn his hand to anything ( apart from tiling the kitchen – damn it ) can’t have it all. Totally reckon he could nail it though.
“Having a husband that wants to do things and can do things is a massive plus in this current climate. Already he has managed to paint the front fence, start the back, re paint the porch, the bathroom, he is now clearing the back garden, the list will go on ( if I have it my way) #poorcharley.”
