Amy Dalby Biography – Amy Dalby Wiki
Amy Dalby is the owner and founder of Blondie Bakery. She established her popular business in 2018, running things from home at first. She opened Blondie Bakery at the former Levan restaurant in Norton Village in 2022. In 2023, she opened a second location in Fenwick’s prestigious food hall with plans to go national.
She told Teesside Live: “I’m on cloud nine, Fenwick will be a permanent concession, everything will be baked out of Norton. A lot of my friends went to uni in Newcastle and I’ve spent a lot of time there over the years.
“I always felt like I shouldn’t go into Fenwick – now Blondie Baker is actually in there. You walk through Dior, Tom Ford, all these massive names and then get to us, it all seems a bit strange.
“When I first started the business, I never could have thought it would be this good. Over the years I’ve just grown a lot more confidence in myself and realised that I can do it.
“And I’ve got a really good team around me, which is integral, in such a short space of time. I’ve got friend that are helping.
“Soon we will be a limited company and will start employing people. My best friend Anna has just kept me sane for the last 18 months, she’s incredible.
“She takes a lot of my brain space and writes me lists. She’s the numbers person while I’m head down, baking.”
