Sarah Jane Smith is an Australian professional golfer, currently playing on the LPGA Tour. She previously played on the Futures Tour and ALPG Tour. Sarah began playing golf at the age of 12 and had a very decorated amateur career. Smith recorded several wins as an amateur including: at the 2001 Greg Norman Junior Masters, 2002 Australian Junior Championship, and Queensland Junior Championship; and at both the 2003 NSW Stroke Play Championship and Queensland Stroke Play Championship. She also represented Australia 6 times including: on the Australian Junior Team in 1999, 2000, and 2002, as well as on the Queensland State Team in 2003 and 2004. In 2002, she was the top-ranked junior in Australia and the top-ranked amateur in 2003. Smith was the low amateur at the 2004 Australian Open, where she finished 10th. She was part of the 2004 Australian World Cup Team.
