Lane Pittman is an Australian country singer, performer, and guitarist. He came to the limelight in April 2022 when he appeared as a contestant in the eleventh season of the Australian reality television singing competition series, The Voice Australia. Lane has already advanced to the battle rounds after his coach, Keith Urban sent him through to his top 6 as of early May 2022.

The teenager has been singing for most of his life and he is a remarkable singer and guitarist. On March 24, 2022, Lane announced that he was releasing his Debut Single “My Way Over You”. Lane, 15, is a contestant in the 11th season of The Voice Australia. The Voice season 11 started airing on 18 April 2022. The show airs on Sunday at 7.00 pm, Monday-Wednesday at 7.30 pm on Channel 7 and 7plus. Sonia Kruger returned as the show host while Keith Urban, Jessica Mauboy, Rita Ora, and Guy Sebastian all returned as season 11 coaches as it was announced on 11 October 2021.

For his blind audition, Lane performed “Even Though I’m Leaving” by Luke Combs and impressed the coaches earning a four-chair turn and applause from the audience. All the four coaches hit the “I WANT YOU” button. Lane ended up as a member of Team Keith Urban.

Rita Ora turned last but she was amazed by the 15-year-old. Rita Ora went on to say, “I really felt you, you know, and I think that Keith says this all the time. It’s like feeling someone, it’s completely different and I think that I turned around last because I forgot that I was here. I genuinely was like wow this was… oh gosh yes! And, you know, that was my reaction and that’s just me kind of being in a trance and I think that’s what you did with that performance, you put everyone in a trance and I can’t believe you’re 15 and it just makes it even more amazing. I think that this is just the beginning for you.”

Coach Jessica Mauboy added, “I feel like that was your magic moment and I love my country music. One of my first auditions was attending a country music audition. Singing a song like that, there’s so much kind of care and nurture in that and obviously that’s dedicate to your [late] father and you are an artist.”

Sebastian Guy said to Lane, “That was beautiful, I was in straight away with the tone and obviously there’s a bit of nerves and now it makes even more sense. The thing I loved about it the most was just the honesty and I think the audience knows as they reacted immediately. About three words in the audience were sold and you just know when you’re listening to someone who’s singing with honesty. You were just expressing something and I felt it. I was brought in, I want in, I think you’re fantastic. You got a sick mullet, personally, I don’t think I got my first chest pube until I was in my twenties. You’ve got a full mullet at 15, I don’t know how these country kids, they’re bred differently, you really are.”

Lane had earlier revealed to his fans and friends that he had auditioned for The Voice. He said in a post via his Instagram, “So here’s that secret I’ve been keeping for way long. I’m excited to finally let this one out of the bag. You’re reading it right I did audition for The Voice Australia and you can see my mug on your TV screens this Sunday (May 1st) at 7 PM on Channel7 hope I can spin a chair or two.”
