Nathan Kimsey is an English professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. He turned professional in 2013. He spent two years on the Challenge Tour before dropping down to the EuroPro Tour for the 2016 season.
Nathan earned his European Tour card for the 2017 season in sensational style, becoming only the second player in history to win the Qualifying School Final Stage after coming all the way through from Stage One – a staggering 14 rounds and 252 holes of golf. However, he was unable to retain his card as he could only manage one top-ten finish.
In 2022, Nathan won the Le Vaudreuil Golf Challenge and the Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final to become the Challenge Tour Rankings winner and earn promotion to the European Tour for the 2023 season. In doing so, he became the 11th English Challenge Tour Number One and first since Jordan Smith in 2016 as he regained his full European Tour playing privileges for the first time since 2017.
“When I had my card beforehand, I was a deer in the headlights and just wasn’t ready to be out here,” he said. “I was a bit out of my depth. It was good because I have got that experience to look back on going into [the 2023] season.”
