Jordan Smith (born Jordan Lewis Smith) is an English professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. He won his maiden European Tour title in a play-off against Alex Levy at the 2017 Porsche European Open.
Born in Bath, Jordan started playing golf at the age of 12. Jordan spent two years at the SGS College Golf Academy having been recommended by SGS golf coach, Kelvin Aitken, who had taught Jordan at Chippenham Golf Centre from the age of 12. He went on to win a scholarship at Bowood golf club where he came under the guidance of Head Coach Simon Shanks. During his time with the SGS College Golf Academy, Jordan won the Intercollegiate Tour twice and gained a Full England Elite spot after winning the Brabazon Trophy. He would go on to play in the 2014 Walker Cup and having achieved a handicap of +5 turn pro.
The golfer turned professional in 2014 and played mainly on the PGA EuroPro Tour in 2015 winning twice, the PDC Open and the Matchroom Sport Tour Championship. He also won the tour’s Order of Merit which gained him a Challenge Tour card for 2016. He won two Challenge Tour events in 2016, the Red Sea Egyptian Challenge and the Ras Al Khaimah Golf Challenge.
He finished leader of the Challenge Tour Order of Merit to earn a place on the European Tour for 2017. He won his maiden European Tour title in a play-off against Alex Levy at the 2017 Porsche European Open.
