Mteto Nyati is a South African Chief Executive Officer, Business Executive, and author. He was the Chief Executive of Altron Group. In January 2022, he announced that he will step down as the Altron Group’s CEO effective June 30, 2022. JSE-listed technology company Altron has announced that the decision was informed by Nyati’s search for a new challenge. He joined Altron in March 2017.

Prior to Altron, he was the Chief Executive Officer at MTN South Africa, he joined MTN in October 2014 as the Group Chief Enterprise Officer. From August 2008 to September 2014, he was the Managing Director at Microsoft in Bryanston. Before Microsoft, Nyati had worked at IBM for 12 years. He joined IBM in 1996 as the Client Executive Pulp and Paper Industry, he later served as the Telecommunications and Media Executive, Small and Medium Business Executive, and as the Director of SMB Channels EMEA in Paris France.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Nyati has also worked as a Manufacturing Consultant at Nampak in Longdale for two years and as an Engineering Manager at Tastic Rice in Pietermaritzburg. He is a published author of the best seller “Betting on a Darkie”.
