Lucinda Goulden is a traditional brushmaker and woodturner based in Wiltshire in the United Kingdom. She appears on Make it at Market on BBC 1.
She creates heirloom quality homewares and makeup brushes using natural fibers and uniquely beautiful wood, crafted in a modern aesthetic.
Each brush is individually hand-tied and knotted, an endangered heritage craft being preserved through her work, with a hand-turned handle made through the art of woodturning.
All home decor and brushes are finished off with hallmarked silver or gold with her registered maker’s mark as her signature.

Woodturner Lucinda Goulden is a budding entrepreneur on series 1 of BBC’s Make it at Market, hosted by The Reair Sop’s Dominic Chinea.
Lucinda revealed she was taking part in the BBC 1 show. She wrote on Instagram, writing: “It has been a year now since I started making makeup brushes and what a year it has been! 🤍
“Taking my woodturning skills in a completely different direction and teaching myself the art of brush making. A craft that’s endangered, with the practice of hand tying or natural fibres. It’s become an obsession but I’m okay with that. 😂
“I started my business at this time and started selling my brushes and homewares and was lucky enough to be part of an exciting TV series on BBC1 with the show @makeitatmarket where it showed me turning my hobby into a business.
“I am forever grateful for all your support and orders which has put me in the position to carry on doing what I love, whilst being able to spend as much time with my girls. 🤍”
