Gingzilla Biography – Gingzilla Wiki
Gingzilla real name Ben Hudson, is a multi-award winning international cabaret and performance artist. He is also a TV personality, theatre maker, singer, model, and MC.
Hudson was a finalist in the International Cabaret Your Theatrics Competition in 2014, narrowly losing to Melody Black. He appeared on Season 15 of The X Factor UK in 2018.
She told Radio Times of the audience’s response to her time on The X Factor. “I confuse people, I blur the line. And that is scary for most people. Gingzilla makes them question their own gender and sexuality, and how they are perceived. My embodiment of the extremes of gender — very sensual and feminine while also being macho and grotesque — elicits a visceral reaction.”
Prior to appearing on X Factor, he performed in the show Gingzilla: Glamonster vs The World at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2018. The Edinburgh show took a look at gender equality in the 1950s and 60s, taking inspiration from the monster movies of the era. He also fronted the Edinburgh show Late Night Lip Service, playing host to some of the wilder acts at the Fringe.
He has had sold out shows in Edinburgh, Adelaide, Perth, London, Brighton, Sweden. He has appeared on BBC, X FACTOR UK 2018, America’s Got Talent and more.
