Elizabeth Szokol is an American professional golfer from Winnetka, Illinois. She currently competes on the LPGA Tour and previously played on the Symetra Tour. Born in Winnetka she attended New Trier Township High School where she was a four-year letter winner and helped New Trier to lift the 2010 Illinois State Championship and finish top 4 during all her four years there.
She later joined Northwestern University where she played collegiate golf for two years before she moved to the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia where she continued to play her collegiate golf. While at the University of Virginia, Szokol was named to the ACC Women’s Golf All-Academic Team and recorded top-10 finishes at Rucker Intercollegiate and Cougar Classic. She won the 2012 Illinois Women’s Amateur Champion.
After turning professional, she played on the Symetra Tour. During her rookie year, she played 19 events and made 12 cuts. She also recorded 6 top-10 finishes with a career-best runner-up result at the Four Winds Invitational. In 2018, she played 20 events and made 15, Szokol recorded 7 top-10 finishes including a win at the IOA Invitational. She finished 4th on the 2018 Symetra Tour Official Money List to earn membership for the 2019 LPGA Tour season. In 2019, she played in 20 events and made 10 cuts on the LPGA Tour. She finished tied for 6th at the Aberdeen Standard Investments Ladies Scottish Open.
