Anna Nordqvist is a Swedish professional golfer. She currently competes on the U.S based LPGA Tour and the Ladies European Tour. She began playing golf at the age of 13 years old. On August 22, 2021, Nordqvist became a three-time major champion after her victory at the 2021 AIG Women’s Open. As an amateur, Nordqvist was the Swedish Junior Player of the Year (2004, 2005), the Swedish Amateur of the Year in 2005, and the 2005 Girls Amateur Champion. In 2008, she won the British Ladies Amateur and made cuts at the 2007 and 2008 Ricoh Women’s British Open and was presented with the Smyth Salver awarded for low amateur honors in 2008. Nordqvist was a member of the Swedish winning team at the 2008 European Ladies’ Team Championship.

At the end of 2008, she finished in a tie for 25th at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn Priority List Category 16 for the 2009 LPGA season. Nordqvist turned professional immediately following the final round. In early 2009, she won the Ladies European Tour Final Qualifying School. On Jun 14, 2009, she earned her first professional tournament and major victory, at the LPGA Championship in Maryland. On 22 November 2009, Nordqvist earned her second professional victory at the LPGA Tour Championship. In 2017, Nordqvist won at the Bank of Hope Founders Cup and The Evian Championship over American Brittany Altomare. She has also won three times on the Ladies European Tour including at the 2010 European Ladies Golf Cup with fellow Swedish Sophie Gustafson, they also won at the 2011 Communitat Valenciana European Ladies Golf Cup. In 2017, she won The Evian Championship an event Co-sanctioned by the LPGA Tour.

Nordqvist is a two-time Olympian having played at the 2016 Rio Olympics where she finished T11 and at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics where she finished T23. Nordqvist attended Arizona State University where she played her collegiate golf. While there, Nordqvist was named the 2007 National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) Freshman of the Year. Nordqvist also earned back-to-back NGCA First-Team All-American and Academic All-American honors in 2008.
