SOBER CURIOUS ✨ I recently did twelve weeks of not drinking and had soooo many questions about my experience. There were lots of reasons I decided to try not drinking. I was often getting headaches when I had a glass of wine, wasn’t sleeping well, feeling sluggish and unmotivated the next day and eating badly too. It just didn’t make me feel good. 🤷🏼‍♀️ My husband @basil_zempilas hasn’t had a drink this year (7.5 months) and I decided to join him too. There were a couple of special occasions where other people were drinking and I felt slightly tempted – but the feeling passed quickly. My friends have been really supportive, there’s only been one occasion when I felt pressured to have a glass of wine. I loved not drinking – it made life easier and so much better! Especially with three energetic kids and a super energetic husband to keep up with. 🥳 I have friends who really enjoy drinking, are able to have a bottle of wine, relax, have fun, sleep well and still feel great the next day. I’m not one of those people. 😜 The experience of not drinking was so beneficial and I loved it. For now, I’m much more mindful when it comes to drinking, only having one or two occasionally. I’d love to hear other people’s experiences with drinking and being sober curious? ⬇️
