Lily McManus is an actress and reality TV personality. She is best known for her appearance on The Bachelorette New Zealand, The Bachelor New Zealand, Bachelor Winter Games, and Celebrity Treasure Island.

McManus first appeared on The Bachelor after her mum sent in an application on her behalf. At the time, she was a snowboarding instructor in Whistler. McManus finished Zac’s season as the runner-up to Viarni Bright.

She then landed a spot on Bachelor Winter Games, and found love on the show with Aussie contestant Courtney Dober. The pair took on Los Angeles together, and McManus spent time writing and trying her hand at acting. I am very fragile right now and cry over everything and it’s dehydrating me. At the age of 12, reality television star Lily McManus was diagnosed with profound high-frequency hearing loss which takes away a lot of sounds from speech. Initially, she was in denial about having a hearing loss. At the age of 15, she was told she would have to wear hearing aids for the rest of her life.

On Celebrity Treasure Island New Zealand in 2020, McManus chose to play for the National Foundation for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (NFDHH), raising $6000, as well as hearing health awareness, as a Youth Ambassador.

After the production travelled to Bangkok, Thompson claimed that production banned both her and Claudia Hoskins, who came third, from eating dessert. Later during the production, still in Thailand, she claims that she and Hoskins were told once more to watch their weight, because “a couple of kilos of weight gain looks like 20kgs on TV.” Thompson was a size eight at the time and had a history of body dysmorphia.
