Victor Biography – Victor Wiki
Victor is an IT consultant and a contestant on MasterChef UK 2023. He has two adult children and currently lives in Harrogate.
How would you describe your style of cooking?
“I’ve been cooking from a very early age, and remember learning a lot of Hungarian recipes from my grandmother while visiting her back home in Budapest every summer. My Hungarian roots still very much influence my cooking however I’ve lived in Britain all my life so I also love classic British cuisine, so my style is a mixture of both these influences.”
What is your earliest cooking memory?
“When I was in Hungary, and I helped my nagymama (grandmother) and aunt make a family meal of Chicken Paprikash and Apple Strudel. I got into trouble eating the raw Strudel filling.”
Why did you enter MasterChef?
“I love cooking for everybody, and am always sharing my recipes with my children, neighbours and anyone who wants them! Being able to share my recipes and ideas in the MasterChef kitchen is fantastic, and being able to talk to other cooks about their food is something I love doing.”
What is your food dream?
“It would be great to be able to share my Hungarian and other European dishes with more people, especially the younger generation, to show them some traditional techniques.”
