Roger Sloan is a Canadian professional golfer. Sloan currently competes on the U.S based PGA Tour. He has previously played on the PGA Tour Canada and the Korn Ferry Tour. Born Roger Brandon Sloan was born in Calgary, Alberta Canada, and raised in Merritt, British Columbia. As an amateur, he was the British Columbia Junior Masters champion in 2005 and won the 2005 Western Canadian Junior Championship.
Upon graduating from college, Roger turned professional in 2009 and competed on the Canadian Tour. On June 12, 2011, he earned his first win on the Canadian Tour at The Western Championship. Roger won by 3 strokes over his fellow Canadian Stuart Anderson. In 2013, and 2014, Roger competed on the Web.com Tour. He earned his first title on the Web.com Tour on Jul 6, 2014, at the Nova Scotia Open. Roger won with par on the first extra hole over American Derek Fathauer. Roger finished 24th on the regular-season money list to earn his PGA Tour card for the 2014–2015 season.
On August 15, 2022, he earned his best finish on the PGA Tour at the 2021 Wyndham Championship. Sloan lost in a six-man playoff. The 2021 Wyndham Championship was won by American Kevin Kisner. He graduated from the Merritt Secondary School in Merritt, Canada, where he played golf under coach Andy Wahnschaff. While at Merritt Secondary School, he as well played basketball, hockey, and volleyball. He went on to join the University of Texas at El Paso(UTEP), where he played his collegiate golf. Roger studied Finance and graduated in 2009.
