Robin Johnson is a Furniture Designer/Maker, Woodworker and television presenter. He has designed and built the furniture for a Gold Medal-winning main garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, and been featured on TV shows The Travelling Auctioneers, Salvage Hunters: The Restorers, Kings of the Wood and Channel 4’s Craft It Yourself.
Learning how to use tools from his father at an early age sparked Robin’s interest in woodwork and metalwork, which has continued to evolve to the present day. A star of Quest’s The Woodland Workshop, Robin is the owner of Johnson Bespoke Joinery and Metal Fabrication specialising in bespoke metal and wood furniture.
Prio to setting up his own successful business in hastings, Robin worked as a design and technology teacher at Seaford College and was head of design at Hurstpierpoint College.
He graduated with a BSc (Hons) from the University of Plymouth and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education focused in Design and Technology Secondary from the University of Brighton.

Robin Johnson is one of the presenters of the BBC One Daytime series The Travelling Auctioneers alongside Christina Trevanion, Izzie Balmer and JJ Chalmers. He was announced as a part of the “exciting new presenter line-up ” in June 2023 for series two of The Travelling Auctioneers.
According to the BBC, series two of The Travelling Auctioneers “will see Christina, JJ, Robin and Izzie split off into pairs and take their travelling auction house and workshop out on the road across the UK. Along the way, they’ll unearth hidden gems and turn unwanted items into winning lots.”
