During an episode of America’s Got Talent on June 6, 2023, performer Ray Wold took the stage with his 85-year-old mother to perform for judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara. Sofia Vergara seemed speechless, saying: “I don’t know what happened during the show. I don’t know what is happening now.”

Howie Mandel, who pressed the buzzer, said: “I’m all for family. But, I think if you gonna spend quality time with your mother, you shouldn’t throw knives at her.”
