Paul Brogan is a former Dublin intercounty Gaelic footballer. He was on Dublin’s winning team for the 2008 O’Byrne Cup and was part of the Dublin panel that won three Leinster titles and the 2011 All-Ireland senior football championship. He left the Dublin senior football panel in October 2012.

“I am single. If I was in a relationship, I don’t know if I would be allowed to do the show [laughs],” he said. “That is not why I am on the show but you never say never to anything in life. The main thing for me is having a bit of fun. That is the main objective for me.”
Paul’s brother, Bernard Brogan, married his wife Keira Doyle in December 2016. Their wedding was held at The Church of The Assumption, Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny with 200 guests in attendance, comprising of friends, family and Brogan’s Dublin teammates.
Bernard popped the question to Dubliner Keira, who works as an account director for a sports management company, while on a romantic break in Turkey in January 2016.
The celebrations weren’t short of famous faces as Brogan’s teammates joined in on the celebrations, with All-Ireland winning captain Stephen Cluxton and his wife Joanne, and Dublin ace Paul Flynn and his girlfriend Fiona Hudson in attendance.
Among the other GAA heavyweights were Philly McMahon, Paul Flynn and Jason Sherlock. The award-winning GAA star’s brother Alan was groomsman at the wedding, alongside his former team-mate Ross McConnell.

Former Dublin footballer Paul Brogan is a contestant on the sixth series of Dancing with the Stars. He was among the first four celebrity contestants announced for the hit RTÉ One series. The others were Panti Bliss (aka Rory O’Neill), Brooke Scullion and Suzanne Jackson.
Paul was shocked when he got the call to sign up for the RTÉ show. He ended up signing up for Dancing with the Stars after RTÉ reached out to some Dublin GAA stars.
He told RSVP Live: “I got a text from Dean Rock, one of the Dublin lads, saying RTÉ was looking for my number. They rang me back in October and asked me if I would be interested in signing up. Initially, I waited a few days to think about it, that was probably down to nervousness. I decided to bite the bullet and go for it. It was very quick in the end.”
His well-known brothers, former GAA stars Alan and Bernard Brogan, were also shocked when they heard the news.
He said: “They had a similar reaction to me, but they said to absolutely go for it. There was loads of slagging and there will be more slagging to come. That is all part of it. Everyone says they can’t dance, but I really can’t.”
