Oli di Meo is a contestant on season 18 of MasterChef UK on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Prior to joining MasterChef 2022, Oli was a Wine Merchant.
Asked about his Food Style/Inspiration, the MasterChef contestant told the BBC: “I’m from an Italian background so my roots are embedded in Southern Mediterranean food.”
Speaking about why he applied to go on MasterChef, he said: “I work in the wine industry so whilst I don’t work directly with food, I do work indirectly with it in many ways, wine pairings, the world of restaurants. It’s my day job but I love it and I food and cooking is a natural progression from this. I want to now see if I can bring the two things together and take it to that next level.”
