Moira Dunn is an American professional golfer, she currently competes on the LPGA Tour. She started playing golf at the age of 7 years old. As an amateur, she won titles at the 1989 New York State Junior Girls Championship, the 1992-1994 New York State Women’s Amateur Championships, and the 1992 Women’s Western Amateur Championship. Dunn was named a Second-Team All-American from 1993 to 1994 while a member of the Florida International University golf team and was a 1993 Academic All-American. Dunn attended the Florida International University in Miami, Florida where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology. She graduated in 1994.
She turned professional in August 1994 and joined the LPGA Tour in 1995 after finishing tied for 20th at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn exempt status for the 1995 LPGA season. On July 18, 2004, Dunn earned her first LPGA Tour victory after winning the Rolex First-Time Winner at the Giant Eagle LPGA Classic. In 2005, she finished tied for 7th at the McDonald’s LPGA Championship Presented by Coca-Cola, which tied her career-best finish in a major championship. When she is not on the golf course, Dunn enjoys reading, biking, music, and cooking. She lives in Tampa, Florida, United States.
