Marnie Swindells Biography – Marnie Swindells Wiki
Marnie Swindells is a Court Advocate, entrepreneur and Candidate on The Apprentice 2023. She is the founder and owner of Bronx, a Gym/Physical Fitness Center in London.
Marnie turned to boxing when she was 17 years old after years of carrying the anger she felt from losing her father. When she turned 18 she packed her bags and headed for London where she gravitated towards the only thing she knew would feel familiar; a boxing club.
For the following 6 years, she competed as a gold-medal-winning boxer, award-nominated coach and even a promoter giving her a sense of accomplishment she could never have imagined would come from boxing. It was even at the local boxing club where she met a barrister who inspired and encouraged her to follow a career in law, and just two years later Marnie was Called to the Bar.
Who knew the humble boxing gym would have been the cornerstone for all these momentous moments which changed the trajectory of her life forever; from a grieving 17-year-old girl to a boxing champion turned coach, to a barrister and now a businesswoman – boxing had been the key behind it all. Bronx was born from the realisation that boxing clubs are about so much more than boxing, they are about unearthing your potential, discovering opportunities and finding a sense of belonging that extends far beyond boxing.

What is your USP?
My unique selling point is my imagination and creativity. I can see opportunity everywhere I look and being able to have that vision is something I think separates me from other people.
What is your biggest weakness?
My biggest weakness is that I can come across as being headstrong, but it’s actually my passion and eagerness to succeed.
Why do you deserve Lord Sugar’s investment?
I deserve Lord Sugar’s investment because I have given my blood, sweat and tears to my business. I think that taking the experience I have in the boxing industry and all the experience that he has in the business industry, together we would be a winning combination. I have fought tooth and nail to get to where I am today with my business. I deserve the chance to have that investment to show him what I can do with it.
