Mark Wales is a corporate speaker, CEO, founder, and reality television star. He has appeared in several television shows including World’s Toughest Race in 2019 and Australian Survivor: Blood v Water. Wales was a contestant in the Australian Survivor in 2017. He was voted Out, on show’s Day 18. On Monday, April 4, 2022, he won Network 10’s adventure reality game show, Australian Survivor: Blood V Water. Other finalists included Josh Millgate, Chrissy Zaremba, and Shayelle “Shay” Lajoie. The show premiered on 31 January 2022 on Network 10 and 10 Play On Demand.

He is The chief executive officer (CEO) of Kill_Kapture, a ‘Tough Luxury’ ecommerce brand in New York. In 2013, he worked for two months as an Intern at Omni Executive Pty Ltd in Canberra, Australia. Mark Wales grew up in Western Australian mining towns and decided early that he wanted to join Australia’s elite military unit, the Special Air Service Regiment (SAS). He is a former special operations troop commander. During his tenure with the Special Forces Officer (SAS), he was deployed for several operational tours of duty in Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, East Timor, and the Solomon Islands. He also works as a Keynote Speaker on Resilience, he shares his insights about building resilience. Wales learned both warfighting in Afghanistan and is experienced in leading an e-commerce startup.

He attended The Australian Defence Force Academy where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree, in History and Political Science in 1999. While at The Australian Defence Force Academy, Wales was an Australian Rules Football player. In 2000, he joined the Royal Military College – Duntroon where he qualified as a Commissioned Officer, and Platoon Commander. In 2014, he graduated from The Wharton School with a Master of Business Administration (MBA), in Entrepreneurial Management. While at The Wharton School he was honored with the 40-under-40 Award for Business Excellence. He is the author of Survivor: Life in the SAS.
