Santiago Ventura is a Spanish antiques dealer and the partner of Mark Stacey. He studied medicine and trained as an ophthalmologist working in the profession for over 20 years before retiring to join Mark at Vintiques by Mark Stacey.

During his time at Vintiques, he acquired a lot about the antiques world, learning to differentiate maiolica from majolica, Georgian from Victorian from Edwardian, which despite daunting on “my first steps, to desperation of my “personal expert/mentor” I find fascinating.”

After working at Vintiques by Mark Stacey for a few years, the former medic founded Santiago Ventura Real, Antiques, Art & Design as a huge step toward establishing himself as a dealer.

“Although my medical background had very little to do with this, I have always appreciated the beauty of quirky objects, and I quite enjoy the research involved in “new” (for me) items and don’t cease to be surprised at the stories many times attached to them,” the Spanish antiques dealer.
