Marina Alex an American professional golfer. Alex was born and raised in Wayne, New Jersey, United States. She played interscholastic golf at Wayne Hills High School, where she won individual state titles in 2007 and 2008.
Alex played college golf at Vanderbilt University. winning one tournament, the 2010 SEC Championship. She qualified for the 2009 U.S. Women’s Open as an amateur but missed the cut. She was twice named SEC Player of the Year while playing a Vanderbilt University and was selected as an NGCA First-Team All-American in 2010 and 2012.

Alex turned professional in 2012 following the NCAA Championship. She competed on the Symetra Tour in 2012 and 2013 with the best finish of second at the 2013 Four Winds Invitational. Alex finished third on the money list in 2013 to earn an LPGA Tour card for 2014. She has played on the LPGA Tour since 2014, she earned her first event at the 2018 Cambia Portland Classic.

On July 21, 2020, Alex tested positive for the Covid-19, she had to withdraw from the LGPA Tour event. Speaking about the situation through a tweet she said that, “I am very fortunate that I have not experienced any symptoms of COVID over the last 9 days,” she wrote. “I know this virus has affected so many lives and it is not something I am taking lightly. At the advice of my primary care physician, I have remained in isolation while continuing a testing regiment [sic] which has successfully produced 3 negative tests in the last 7 days. I have exhausted every resource possible to be able to compete at Inverness, however, due to current CDC guidelines and the current protocols, the LPGA has put in place for our safety my official clearance date does not allow me to complete this week. I am really looking forward to returning to the competition next week at the Marathon Classic. Thank you again to my doctors and sponsors for their support. Good luck to girls competing this week.”
