Marilyn June Hawley was the wife of Hilton Hotels Chairman Barron Hilton. She passed away at 76 Beverly Hills, California on March 12, 2004. Marilyn  June Hawley passed away after a long illness. Mrs. Hilton, who lived virtually her entire life in the Los Angeles area and was noted for her many philanthropic and charitable endeavors. She was the daughter of Della and George Hawley of Los Angeles.

She was a graduate of St. Monica’s High School in 1947. Marilyn and Barron Hilton had been married for 56 years before her demise. She had served as President of Las Floristas, Inc. and was actively involved with a number of other charitable organizations including the Los Angeles Orphanage Guild; WAIF, Inc.; the Assistance League of California; St. John’s Hospital & Health Care Center; the John Tracy Clinic, and the Pacific Multiple Sclerosis Research Foundation.
She was a Dame for the Order of St. Gregory the Great, granted by Pope John Paul II.

Upon her demise, she left behind her husband and was survived by their eight children: William Barron Jr., Hawley Anne McAuliffe, Steven Hilton, David Hilton, Sheri Thibaut, Richard Hilton, Daniel Hilton and Ronald Hilton and fifteen grandchildren.
