Ashley Hinson is an American journalist who works for WBAL-TV 11 News as a news anchor as well as a reporter. She joined the media outlet in July 2018 as co-anchor of 11 News at 5 p.m. alongside Andre Hepkins, and co-anchor of 11 News at 10 p.m. She also covers breaking news and other stories for 11 News at 11 p.m.
She joined the Baltimore- based media station from WPTV and FOX29 in West Palm Beach, Florida, where she served as both weeknight anchor and reporter. While in South Florida, she covered countless breaking stories, including the school shooting in Parkland, Florida, both Hurricanes Matthew and Irma, and also served as a contributor for the Golf Channel regarding Tiger Woods’ DUI arrest in Jupiter, Florida.
Prior to West Palm Beach, she was an anchor and reporter in her home state of Texas at KAMC-TV. In her free time, she loves giving back to the community. She is involved in numerous organizations like Meals on Wheels, Dress for Success and the YMCA. She is also part of a small team that raised more than $30,000 for the victims of Hurricane Harvey, which affected Houston and her own family who have a home in Katy, Texas.
