Lil Loaded (real name Dashawn Maurice Robertson) was an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and Internet personality originary from Dallas, Texas. He rose to fame in the summer of 2019 after his song “Blocc Baby” went viral on YouTube. The song racked up more than 28 million views on the platform and was awarded a gold certification on May 25, 2021 by the Recording Industry Association of America. Robertson wrote in an Instagram post about the certification that he had the “dopest fanbase on earth.”

In November 2020, Robertson was arrested on a murder charge in connection with the shooting of his best friend, 18-year-old Khalil Walker on Oct. 25. According to The Dallas Morning News, Police were called to Walker’s home in the 7200 block of Lost Canyon Drive, near the Cedar Ridge Preserve in southwestern Dallas’ The Woods neighborhood. By the time they arrived, Walker had been taken to Methodist Charlton Medical Center, where he died from his wounds.

He was indicted on the lesser charge of manslaughter in February 2021, and his attorney said at the time that there was no malice in the incident.
