Leena Nair is an Indian-born British business executive. She is currently the chief executive officer (CEO) of Chanel, a French luxury fashion house. She was appointed to the role in December 2021. Nair confirmed her appointment via a tweet, she tweeted, “Overwhelmed by the love and support my appointment as @CHANEL CEO has got. Thank you! Please trust that I am reading every comment, even if I don’t reply to everyone individually.” Nair previously served as the Chief Human Resources Officer and as a Member of the Unilever Leadership Executive.

She joined Unilever in the early 1990s as a management trainee of Hindustan Unilever and went on to take several different roles over the years with the company. In 2006, she started serving as the General Manager HPC and Foods and Head of Management Development. From 2007 to 2012, she served as the executive director HUL and VP HR South Asia becoming the first woman appointed to the Unilever South Asia Leadership team. She later served on the SVP Leadership and Organisation Development and Global Head of Diversity and Inclusion until 2016.

Nair is leaving Unilever after working with the company for three decades, she said in a tweet, “I am grateful for my long career at @Unilever, a place that has been my home for 30 years.
