Ella Thomas is a Love Island 2023 contestant and model from Glasgow, Scotland. She was named Female Model of the Year at the Scottish Media Awards in 2022. She rubbed shoulders with Hollywood hunk Brad Pitt on the set of his 2013 film World War Z.
The model and actress appeared in the Hollywood blockbuster World War Z (2013) when she was just 12 years old and shared a scene with Brad. Along with her Hollywood film stint, the award-winning model has appeared in a music video with Headie One and Burna Boy.
Love Island star and model Ella Thomas revealed what it was like to work with the Hollywood star, saying: “It was a bit surreal. I was really young at the time, so I was like ‘Wow, Brad Pitt is standing right there.’ It was definitely an experience to remember.”

Speaking to The Mirror and other press about growing up in Glasgow, she said: “I grew up in Glasgow, had a lovely childhood. I love Scotland, Scotland’s home. I did live in London for a couple of years and then moved back to Glasgow. I’m really comfortable there, I’ve got all my family there and I would say my friends from school, they might not be surprised at me going on.”

She revealed that she was nearly on Love Island at the age of 18.
“It’s funny because when I was about 18, I was in my last year of school, those management agencies approached me and asked if I wanted to like go on Love Island and them support my application. I never did it because I felt I was too young at the time but I told all my friends at school I was gonna go on Love Island. Five six years later, they’ll be like oh makes sense,” she quipped via The Mirror.
Her love of Glasgow won’t stop her finding love and she’s ready for a long distance romance if that’s what it takes.
Ella said: “If we were living in the same city, it would be ideal but I wouldn’t say no to long distance. I think wherever the love takes me, if it means I have to do long distance, I’m willing to do it.”
