Killer Kau (real name Sakhile Hlatshwayo) was a South African musician, dancer, and record producer. The 22-year-old musician burst into the spotlight in 2017 after a video of him singing over a house beat went viral on Twitter. The video caught the attention of DJ Euphonik who quickly took him to the studio to record “Tholukhuti Hey” which became Killer’s first hit song.

In 2018, he took a break from the music scene to focus on his matric studies. In 2019, he earned his second hit “Kokota Piano” alongside Kaygee and Bizizi. He later co-foundered Soweto Music and Entertaining Academy and through this platform, he released ‘After School’ a 5-track EP featuring Amapiano and Gqom smash hits.

In June 2020, he released a 5 track collaboration EP with dance enthusiast Retha titled ‘Tom and Jerry’, with hit single Uyababa featuring DJ Stylagang as the main attraction to their colorful joint venture. He followed up with another EP called ‘Game Changer’ in July, which dropped on his birthday as a gift from the label. The 6-track adventure features new Amapiano heavyweights like Focalistic, Kammu Dee, Mark Khoza and fellow SMEA artists G-Snap and Dj Stylagang.

Kau had three albums, After School, Game Changer, and Tom & Jerry. Some of his songs include Tholukuti Hey, Kathaliya, Lebanta, Aba Gwi, Champagne, Sandton, Ebondeni, Koba, Corona, Smea, Asdume, Banda Mpo, Kude, Heineken, and Joy.
