Karen Clifton birth name Karen Hauer, is a Venezuelan professional dancer and choreographer. She was born on 20 April 1982 in Valencia, Venezuela.
From the age of eight, she moved to New York City, New York, U.S. She attended The High School of Performing Arts, also known as The Fame School. While at The High School of Performing Arts, she majored in ballet and contemporary dance and received The Helen Tamaris Award for Excellence in Dance.
At the age of 10, Karen received a full scholarship to attend the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance where she learned dancing and continued to study for the next 10 years.
At the age of 19 a visit to a cha cha class sparked her interest in Latin dance and that sent her in a new direction learning all the major ballroom dance styles.
Karen has appeared on Strictly Come Dancing, So You Think You Can Dance, and on Burn the Floor. She has won various dance competitions including US Amateur American Rhythm National Champion and World Mambo Champion.
