Joel Dommett is an English comedian, actor and television presenter. He is best known for his television roles in Skins, Live in Chelsea, Impractical Jokers UK, I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! and Joel & Nish vs The World.
In November 2016, Joel took part in the sixteenth series of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! and finished in second place. After his hugely successful time in the jungle he took over the hosting of ITV2’s spin off show I’m A Celebrity… Extra Camp alongside Joe Swash and Scarlett Moffatt. He went on to star on Channel 4’s Comedy Gala and the BBC’s Live at the Apollo.
Boasting a constantly increasing array of TV credits, from two popular series of Comedy Central’s Joel and Nish Vs The World, appearing on Dating No Filter (Comedy Central), A League of Their Own (Sky Max), 8 Out of 10 Cats (Channel 4). “It’s my dad’s birthday!” he wrote alongside an old photo with his father. “…and Dad is my inspiring man! He discovered he had prostate cancer a few years ago, he didn’t have any symptoms at all and his cancer was ONLY discovered because he had a random PSA test when having other tests. He caught it early, had the operation and is now all clear.. so many people are not so lucky.”

Joel’s mother Penny Dommett, had been a keen painter, “but she was never allowed to embrace that because she had to sort of bring up two boys by herself,” he told i newspaper. On Mother’s Day 2020, Joel paid tribute to his mother on Instagram, writing: “Happy Mother’s Day to my mother Penny Dommett. This is us when we bought our first house together.”
