Huntergirl (real name Hunter Wolkonowski) is a country singer, songwriter, guitarist, and performer from Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee. She is known for her songs: Liar, Liar, If I Had a Beer, So Long, You Got Two, and Young Wild & Free. In early 2022, she auditioned and earned a golden ticket to Hollywood for The twentieth series of the American reality singing competition show, American Idol.

She was born in Tennessee and she started singing and performing in her grandfather’s church at age three. She began writing her own songs at age nine. When she was 11 years old, Wolkonowski moved to Winchester, Tennessee with her family and began performing at her local church and competing in different singing competitions. She later started performing across the United States.

According to her official website, the Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee native won the 2014 Texaco Country Showdown at age fifteen. Upon graduating from high school, Wolkonowski moved to Nashville, the music city to pursue her music dream. Wolkonowski is from a long tradition of military service and has a deep respect for American veterans. She’s currently working with various veteran organizations such as Freedom Sings USA, Operation Song, Middle Tennessee State University, Charlie and Hazel Daniels Veteran Center, and Soldier’s Child. Wolkonowski also works with these music therapy organizations to help transform veterans’ stories into songs.
