Hannah is a hand embroiderer based in North Staffordshire. She is featured in the second series of Make It at Market.
Hannah works in the membership department at Staffordshire Wildlife Trust. She was paired with an experienced mentor, embroidery artist, and teacher Tory McNidder of The Barmy Fox, on the show, which is presented by Dominic Chinea of The Repair Shop fame.
The Make it at Market embroiderer has a master’s degree in textile design from Staffordshire University and got into hand embroidery during lockdown when she was furloughed from work. She quickly fell in love with the craft and realized she wanted to turn it into a career.

Hannah appears as a budding entrepreneur on the BBC1 reality television show Make it at Market. She stars alongside a host of other artists and crafters in the series.
Hannah, whose business is called Juniper Forest Embroidery, said: “Being chosen to appear on Make It at Market has been an incredible experience. I am so grateful to be given the opportunity to share my passion and designs with an audience that has a real interest in a variety of crafts.
“As someone who has suffered with anxiety and a lack of confidence since childhood, I find that the slow and repetitive nature of hand embroidery brings me a sense of calm and acceptance. My designs are inspired by how engaging with nature has improved my mental and physical health.
“I really hope my episode inspires other people with anxiety who are struggling with their confidence. It has been life-changing for me and has pushed me to make the most of the opportunities that are available.”
