Hally Vogel is an American Meteorologist. She is the meteorologist for WXYZ Channel 7 in Detroit. She joined Channel 7 from WZZM 13, the ABC affiliate in Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States. While at WZZM 13, she served as the weekday morning and noon meteorologist for 7 years. Before that, she was the morning meteorologist and co-anchor for WPBN-WTOM in Traverse City, Michigan.
Hally started her television career in Cleveland. She was born and raised in Ohio, United States, near Lake Erie. She was exposed to the frequently changing weather in the Great Lakes. Hally attended Kent State University, where she did her undergraduate studies and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Radio/TV Production and a minor in Broadcasting. She was so passionate about weather while she was still very young and followed her true love by completing the Broadcast Meteorology Program at Mississippi State University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in Geosciences. Hally has been awarded the AMS Seal of Approval. When Hally is not at her Meteorological duties, she likes getting outdoors and spending as much time as possible with family.
