Gemma Woolley is a teacher and artist who deals with Fluid and Resin Art and homeware. She appears in the first series of Make it at Market on BBC One.
Accent by Gemma Woolley is a range of fluid and resin art where chemistry meets creativity (and a tiny bit of chaos!) She uses this complex abstract technique to create accent artwork and homewares, such as coasters and furniture.
Her work is all inspired by the natural world and she is working hard to establish her business whilst juggling her full-time job as a teacher.
She uses handmade acacia and mango wood. Her resin is sustainable eco-resin.

Artist Gemma Woolley is a budding entrepreneur who appears on the BBC 1 reality television show Make it at Market hosted by Dominic Chinea of The Repair Shop.
Gemma revealed he was taking part in the BBC 1 show on Instagram writing: “So for the last couple of months I’ve been filming for a new BBC1 show called #makeitatmarket, I’ve been setting up my business and trying to manifest my dream future!”
“I cannot thank my mentor, the amazing @london_artist1 enough! As well as all the beautiful humans who have helped me on this amazing adventure! Bring on the next steps!!”
On her website, she wrote: “Over the course of 2022 I filmed for this new series. The show is about creatives attempting to turn their craft into a business with the help of Dom Chinea and a group of mentors, specialists in their fields.”
“I have always been an artist but I was told by a career advisor at school that it was not a viable career option, my mum was a technical illustrator but my art is abstract, fluid, and about emotion and connection, not realism. But with the help of my amazing mentor Sharon Walters, I was able to establish myself as an artist, both of canvas works and home accents. Let the adventure continue!”
