Emma Watkins is an Australian singer, actress, and dancer. She is well known as the first female member of the children’s group the Wiggles. Emma started ballet when she was four. In December 1996, Watkins and her sister Hayley Watkins attended a Wiggles concert at the Seymour Centre. She was just seven years old.
Watkins started performing with the Wiggles in 2010, playing Fairy Larissa in Dorothy the Dinosaur concerts and videos. Emma later played Wags the Dog and Dorothy the Dinosaur, and be a Wiggly Dancer in Wiggles tours by 2011. In May 2012, the Wiggles announced that Watkins would replace founder Greg Page as the yellow Wiggle in 2013. Watkins becomes the first female Wiggle. In June 2015, her own Emma! premiered on ABC Kids, with a tie-in album, DVD, and tour. Watkins suffers from endometriosis and was hospitalized in 2018 which made the Wiggles perform some shows with a stand-in.

During the 2020 ARIA Music Awards in November, Watkins joined an ensemble of Australian women singers to perform “I Am Woman” as a tribute to its singer and songwriter, Helen Reddy. She attended The McDonald College, in North Strathfield, Australia. Watkins later won a full scholarship at the Sydney Film School and completed a certificate specializing in musical theatre at ED5 International in Sydney. She holds a master’s degree in Media Arts and Production from the University of Technology Sydney.
