David Law Biography

David Law is a Scottish professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. The golfer claimed his first Challenge Tour victory at the SSE Scottish Hydro Challenge hosted by Macdonald Hotels and Resorts in June 2018, and went on to graduate to the European Tour by finishing inside the top 15 in the Challenge Tour Rankings that year. He claimed his maiden European Tour victory at the ISPS Handa Vic Open in February 2019.

David first joined the Challenge Tour in 2014 after a successful amateur career, where he became Scottish Boys champion in 2009 and Scottish Amateur champion in 2009 and 2011, before joining the paid ranks in 2013.

David turned professional in 2011. He won the 2013 Sueno Dunes Classic on the Pro Golf Tour and finished fifth in the Order of Merit to earn a place on the Challenge Tour for 2014. Since 2014 he has played primarily on the Challenge Tour combined with some appearances on the Pro Golf Tour and the MENA Golf Tour. He won the SSE Scottish Hydro Challenge at Macdonald Spey Valley in June 2018, then followed this by being runner-up in the Euram Bank Open in July and finished the season 14th in the Challenge Tour Order of Merit to earn a place on the European Tour for 2019.

In February 2019, David won his maiden European Tour title at the ISPS Handa Vic Open, a co-sanctioned event with the PGA Tour of Australasia. He won in only the fifth start of his rookie European Tour season in dramatic fashion, finishing birdie-par-eagle to erase a three shot deficit and win outright.
