Dani Biography – Dani Wiki

Dani is a leatherworker and Preston Market stall owner. She has appeared on BBC1’s Make It At Market. Independent craft business, DD Practical, specializes in handmade leathercrafts, stationery, stitching, stickers, and bespoke designs.

She told Blog Preston in an interview: “2023 has been an incredible year for DD Practical Leathercraft! The most exciting thing was being selected for BBC1’s Make It at Market – a program dedicated to helping makers and artists hone their skills and develop their businesses.

“I had the wonderful opportunity to be paired with a Master Leather Craftsman, Andy Bates, who has nearly 40 years experience of working with leather, including making pieces for museums, TV, film and Theatre.

“During filming, we were given three challenge pieces to create; a volume piece, a high-end piece, and my favorite piece.

“My work was then reviewed by my mentor Andy and Dom Chinea, who presents the show. I was then given an 8-week action plan to work on before returning to film a follow-up.”

Leatherworker Dani appears on the second series of BBC One’s Make it at Market. The show is hosted by Dominic Chinea who works alongside a team of business and craft experts who work together to help budding entrepreneurs make a living from their hobby.

Dani’s episode will be the second episode on the second series of Make It at Market which stars Dominic Chinea from the Repair Shop.

She revealed on Instagram by writing: “I am going to be on the telly box!!! 😵

I can finally reveal that the secret project I have been working on this year is for BBC One’s Make It at Market – Series 2 with the incredible @dominicchinea presenting!”

“You can watch series 1 of the show on BBC iPlayer and series 2 launches on Monday 27th November. Episodes will be daily on weekdays at 4:30 pm on BBC1 and repeated the following morning at 7.15 am on BBC2 in England. Coming to BRITBOX for our overseas friends in the New Year.
